Giving thanks!

As we approach the American holiday of Thanksgiving, I am always perplexed as to what I should say to people when asked what my plans for Thanksgiving are? Since I wasn't born in this country the day has no significance for me. I didn't grow up with the traditional turkey dinner with stuffing, (would be hard, since we were all vegetarians!), cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, pumpkin or, pecan pie. I have finally come to the conclusion that it's more about being grateful than the dinner-- I think it's admirable that Americans set aside a day for gratitude, though, I do believe that gratitude needs to be a part of our daily life. I hope that your Thanksgiving will be as fulfilling as mine, albeit, my dinner will be definitely vegetarian!

A lecture on Feng Shui!

Since I am a Feng Shui consultant, I thought it would be fitting to give a lecture on Feng Shui! So, on Nov. 2nd we will gather once again at Istvan Gallery to discuss this ancient concept of harmony in your living space. Dr. Amit Gumman will join us and give a talk on the benefits of acupuncture (the body's Feng Shui!). He will also demonstrate on a willing participant! We will finish off the session with what the Chinese horoscope says about you! The cost of the lecture is $25.00 per person, reservations are required. Please e-mail me if you are interested. The lecture lasts from 7-9:30 p.m. with a break for snacks and refreshments. For more information visit my website, the link is attached

Recycle today and everyday!

This tip today is more about conservation of our resources, rather than recycling, but by using less we leave more for generations to come! Order online or direct from companies rather than driving to a store. This helps reduce fuel and energy. Reserve one day for your shopping and errands instead of making multiple trips all the time.

Holiday Feng Shui tip!

As you prepare your home for the countless guests for Thanksgiving, walk through your home, but before you do so-- take three long deep breaths, this will enable you to center yourself and give you the ability to 'see' your home through fresh new eyes! The reason for this exercise is to allow you to see the areas of your home that are stagnant. The minute you set your eyes upon lethargic space in your home you will feel overwhelmed. This is your cue to clear that area! This way you'll replace dead energy with live energy!
