Staying healthy during this stressful time of the year.

It's hard to believe, Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon us already. How time flies! In order to stay healthy during this time of the year, there are a few key things you can do to avoid getting run down.

1. Make sure you are sleeping well at night. It's recommended to have your bedroom be a pristine place. This means-- no clutter in the bedroom! Don't watch television in bed. Have this room look like an oasis. No stuff under the bed either, this actually robs you of a peaceful night's sleep.
2. Drink plenty of water, juice during the day. Hydrating yourself daily keeps your body healthy.
3. Eat fruits and fresh veggies daily. This is a no brainer eating foods that are colourful helps boost your immune system.
4. Take a multi vitamin daily. Again a no brainer!
5. Wash your hands all the time! Too many germs out there--yuck, so wash, wash, wash!
6. Take deep breaths from your abdomen several times a day. This is shown to relieve stress.
7. Go for a walk daily. Being outdoors, allows us to see the beauty of this planet, our home.
8.Take at least 10-15 minutes daily where you spend time with yourself being quiet. This will allow you to know your heart's me!
9. Hug someone daily. Touch is very important to keep us connected to the ones we love.
10. Above all else smile. It take fewer muscles to smile than to frown, so conserve energy and smile ;-)!
I could go on, but I won't, this is enough to get you on the road to a healthier holiday season. The best gift is the gift we give ourselves-- the gift of taking care of our own body first. This way we can be available to our loved ones 100% instead of just getting by. Please take time to be kind to you.

Your recycle tip:

Your recycle tip is more of a energy check around the house. Cooler weather is here, time to check the invisible way we lose heat from our homes. Check the caulking around your windows and doors. Better still install energy efficient windows, this will cut your heating bill considerably. Check the insulation in your attic to see if more insulation is needed. Buy a timed thermostat, this will allow you to program the heating and cooling cycle-- a real energy saver.

Your Feng Shui tip.

We all have those horrible piles of paper clutter. Here's an easy way to begin removing the mess out of your life. Each time you pass the pile of clutter, get rid of one piece of paper. Pretty soon you will have whittled the stack down. Most of the time we get overwhelmed by the size of our clutter and we attack it rather than taking care of it one step at a time. Try this method and you'll agree with me, it's not that monumental. Reducing paper clutter will lighten the atmosphere of your home, leaving more energy for you.

I am always heart warmed by your positive comments. It's fun to share this journey with you. Having you in my life has made my life far richer. Thank you!

Enjoy the bounty of Thanks giving!
